Choosing a Day Nursery or Pre-school for your child is an important decision

At My Sunshine Day Nursery we aim to make that decision as easy as possible by providing a stimulating and caring environment for your child that encourages each child to reach their full potential whilst in our care.

We welcome prospective parents to visit the Nursery during the day to see both our Nursery environment first-hand and to experience the children in each room setting in situ.

We will do all we can to accommodate the most suitable time for you to visit, whether that be during the day or early evening. We normally need no more than 24 hours notice but have been know to show families around who have just happened to call in as they were passing!

Settling-in period 

Once you have made the important decision to join our Nursery then we will arrange the all-important settling -in session. These are free sessions available to you after the registration fee has been paid.

As part of the enrolment process, together we will agree the best plan for you and your child taking into account the child’s current routines and your suggestions as to what will work best.

We offer up to a total of  6 “settling-in” sessions over a 2 week period.

We like each session to take place at different times of the day and over different days of the week to provide your child the opportunity to experience and acclimatise to all aspects of our Nursery life. Typically we start the settling-in process with a 1 hour session and gradually build this up to a 3 hour session over the 2 weeks of settling-in.

During the settling-in sessions we will appoint a Key Worker for your child. The Key Worker will be form a close relationship with you child during their time in Nursery and is responsible for planning your child’s needs and interests each week and for liaising with you regularly via our on-line Nursery software called FAMLY®. In addition, through the FAMLY® app you will have full access to all your child’s daily activities as well as his/her development through your child’s Learning Journey.
