We recognise that not all parents may be aware of the various ways that they might be able to obtain Local Authority financial assistance in meeting the costs of their childcare fees.

Local Authority Funding
A little bit of help
There are different support options open to you. Some of these include:
- Childcare Tax Credits available via https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/tax-free-childcare
- Your employer can convert part of your salary for Childcare Assistance –via Childcare Vouchers. Please ask your HR department. https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/tax-free-childcare
- Free Universal 15 hour Funding for all 3 and 4 year olds is available. https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/tax-free-childcare
- Extended Funding offering an additional 15 funded hours is available to families who qualify and have received an Eligibility Code from Richmond-upon-Thames Local Authority. https://www.afcinfo.org.uk/pages/community-information/information-and-advice/childcare-costs

- Siblings discounts are available with a 10% discount being added to the eldest sibling fees.
Early Years Universal Free Childcare for 3 to 4-year-olds
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England receive 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. It is usually taken as 15 hours per week x 38 weeks of the year (term time) but we stretch the free entitlement as full wraparound care over 51 weeks of the year. This means that instead of 15 free hours per week over 38 weeks you will receive 11.20 free hours per week over 51 weeks.
Please note that at My Sunshine Day Nursery & Pre-School in order for you to access our stretched wraparound Universal 15 hour Funded Care Programme we require you to attend Nursery for a minimum of 2 Full Days or any combination of 4 Morning or Afternoon Sessions spread over 3 days of the week.
Extended 30 Hours Funding
We are pleased to be able to offer an extra 15 hours to ALL parents that meet the required local authority criteria and can provide us with their Richmond Council Eligibility Code. This would then provide a total of 30 hours free childcare per week.
At My Sunshine Day Nursery & Pre-School we stretch the free entitlement as full wraparound care over 51 weeks of the year. This means that instead of 30 hours per week over 38 weeks you will receive 22.4 hours per week over 51 weeks.
Please note that in order for you to access our stretched wraparound Extended 30 hour funded care programme we require you to attend Nursery for a minimum of 3 Full Days.
2 Year Old Funding
We offer the 2 year old Early Learning Entitlement enabling eligible children to receive 15 hours of free early education per week over a 38 week term. At My Sunshine Day Nursery & Pre-School we stretch the 15 hour free entitlement as full wraparound care over 51 weeks of the year. This means that instead of 15 free hours per week over 38 weeks you will receive 11.2 hours free hours per week over 51 weeks.
Children become eligible for this funding the term after their 2nd birthday.
